The 2008 Diversity Cup: 14th June

Over 130 players from 19 teams representing the diverse backgrounds, beliefs and professions throughout Edinburgh, battled it out to see who would get their hands on the David Gemmell Memorial trophy and be crowned 2008 Diversity Cup Champions.

After four hours of top quality football, the 2008 Diversity Cup champions claimed their prize. "Pele's People" were a first class team who had caught everyone's eye in the group stages. They won the Cup on penalities after a thrilling final against "Brothers Hood" (pictured below) which ended as a 1 - 1 draw.
